LRIT for Flag States
Flag States are obliged to ensure their ships report to a National Data Centre 4 times per day with additional position reports being available to authorized LRIT users upon request.
To achieve this:
- All ships will be required to transmit regular position reports
- Flag States will be required to establish a National Data Centre (NDC) to which ships of their flag can report
- An Application Service Providers shall be appointed by the Flag State.
